How can we
re-think our own contradictions?
What does Collaboration mean?

Every day I encounter myself with people inhabiting and developing their work inside the art world, which seem to replicate a discourse around ‘collaborative practices’ and ‘building communities’ without deeply understanding what collaborative work means. They are hesitant to share information, they are suspicious of their fellow colleagues. We criticise a system yet we seem unable to stop replicating it from the moment we get out of bed.

Inspired by the quote “look at what they do, not what they say”, I am interested in diving into research, thinking and project practices involving contemporary artists, curators, thinkers and agents from other fields, from a horizontal perspective. I see myself as an art agent who observes the world critically through curatorial lens. I have always been interested in working among horizontal teams, exploring different ways of thinking through reading groups, publications, and exhibitions among other forms.

I consider art as a transversal tool through which to engage in dialogue with a very diverse set of interesting universes and knowledge.

I look out for those ideas, people, objects and things that can challenge my way of seeing and thinking about the World.

Cómo podemos repensar nuestras propias contradicciones? Qué quiere decir colaboración?

Todos los días me encuentro con un mundo de personas que habitan y desarrollan su trabajo en el mundo del arte, quienes replican un discurso sobre prácticas colaborativas y construcción de comunidades sin entender la profundidad de lo que implica colaborar. Dudan de compartir información, desconfían de sus propios colegas. Criticamos un sistema, que parecemos incapaces de dejar de replicarlo desde el momento en que salimos de nuestras camas.

Inspirada por la frase “mirá lo que hacen, no lo que dicen”, me interesa profundizar en la investigación, el pensamiento y los proyectos que involucran artistas, curadores, pensadores, agentes de otros campos, desde una perspectiva horizontal. Me considero una agente artística que observa el mundo críticamente a través de lentes curatoriales. Desde mis comienzos estuve interesada en el trabajo colaborativo, el cual puede tomar distintos formatos.

Considero el arte como una herramienta transversal desde la cual entablar un diálogo con una conjunto muy diverso de universos y conocimientos interesantes.

Busco aquellas personas, ideas, objetos y cosas que pueden transformar mi forma de ver y pensar el mundo.
